During Barbra Steisand's 2006 concert tour at the Air Canada Centre, on both Oct 17th & Oct 20th 2006, the famous singer told audiences that she loved the Ice Cream she had at the original Caffe Demetre on the Danforth!
Several of our customers who had been in the audience on both dates, began calling and emailing us after the event, informing us that the talented singer had mentioned "Caffe Demetre's Iced Cream"!
On Saturday October 21, 2006, Peter Cheney, a columnist for the Globe & Mail, published an article with the headline, "FUNNY GIRL DINES OUT."
We never got the opportunity to thank her for her kind comments, so, Thank You Very, Very Much Barbra!
