Because of the high volume of franchise inquiries and applicants, we have suspended the issuing of new Caffe Demetre Franchises including Franchise Information until May 1, 2012.  We apologize for the inconvenience and sincerely thank you for your interest in our company. 


 

ARE CAFFE DEMETRE LOCATIONS FRANCHISED ?

Yes, all of our existing locations are franchised units.  However, the issuing of future franchised locations is limited for various reasons explained below. 

 

CAN I RECEIVE FRANCHISE INFORMATION ?

Caffe Demetre does not have pre-printed franchise material such as brochures and other printed information.  We do not provide information over the phone.

 

DON'T YOU WANT TO OPEN MORE LOCATIONS ?           

Yes and No. Our company's top priority is not unit growth, but to maintain the highest calibre of product and service within our existing and established locations.  Furthermore, because of our corporate philosophy and our restricted niche market, we do not intend to over-saturate or cannibalize our existing operations.  When market conditions allow it and we have strong comfort level, we open a new location every couple of years.  Our conservative approach to growth has enabled us to build a strong and loyal customer base over a span of 20 years.


CAN I BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST ? 

Yes, if you wish to be placed on a waiting list to receive future information for consideration as a franchisee, kindly email us and include the following information:

CAN I PURCHASE AN EXISTING LOCATION ?

Yes, provided a location is available for sale over the MLS.  However, please note that Caffe Demetre Corporate Office does not facilitate the third-party sale of existing franchised locations.  <<DO NOT CONTACT OUR OFFICE>>  Every third-party franchise sale is handled by independent Real Estate Agents and still subject to approval by the Franchisor. Also be advised, that any existing franchise operators (who may have listed their store for sale on the MLS) will not divulge sensitive information to would-be purchasers or agents unless an official offer by a registered Real Estate Agent (including a Deposit of 10% of the purchase price) is presented and accepted by the current franchise operating company.

 

DO YOU FRANCHISE INTERNATIONALLY ? 

Not yet, but like any successful company with an established track record, we are planning it.  We have registered our trademarks in several countries already.  We would be looking for qualified and experienced, existing multi-unit operators to take on a master franchise agreement within a specific territory. 

 

WHAT IS YOUR INITIAL FRANCHISE FEE ? 

$50,000, plus applicable taxes.

 

WHAT IS MONTHLY ROYALTY FEE ? 

7% of total pre-tax sales, plus applicable taxes.

 

WHAT IS THE MONTHLY ADVERTISING CONTRIBUTION ? 

$250.00 flat-fee, per month, plus applicable taxes.

 

CAN I BE A "SILENT-PARTNER" INVESTOR A FRANCHISE ? 

Yes, only if you have one or more active, full-time partner(s) who would hold no less than a 50% share in the franchise company.  A silent partner is still bound by the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement, Sub-Lease and the General Security Agreement.  The ideal candidate should have two working partners.
